BERLIN – 26 APRIL 2021, Sourcepoint, the data privacy software company of record for the digital marketing ecosystem, today announces the appointment of Marc Lauriac to Managing Director, Continental Europe. With more than 15 years of experience in the media, digital and advertising industries, Lauriac will originate the role of Managing Director as the company’s success across the continent expands.
Utilising his extensive knowledge in management, sales, operations, business development and data-driven marketing within the digital and TV/OTT advertising space, Lauriac will be integral in developing the Continental European customer success team, representing the voice of the regional customer base, and driving Sourcepoint’s ambitious expansion plans. He joins the company during a period of monumental growth, following the recent launch of its privacy measurement tool, Privacy Lens, which provides compliance and data ethics visibility for advertisers and publishers. This key appointment follows Sourcepoint’s successful $19M funding round and the acquisition of UK software company RedBud in late 2020, a strategic investment to increase compliance and performance analytics capabilities by making its DIAGNOSE scanning tool available to customers across Europe and the US. These recent advancements allow Sourcepoint to better serve its large and renowned client base across the continent, which includes publishers such as Prisma, Le Point and Schibsted.
Prior to Sourcepoint, Lauriac gained a deep understanding of data management, ad monetization and the crucial need for data privacy technology during his tenure at companies operating in digital and media, such as FreeWheel, Audible, Sizmek (formerly MediaMind) and Mediapeers. Most recently, as Senior Director Customer Success & Business Development, International at FreeWheel, he was responsible for ensuring the efficient management of product and partnership strategies internationally and coordination of the customer success team across Europe.
“We’re delighted to bring Marc on board during this period of expansion for Sourcepoint. He’s an incredibly experienced leader who will lead our Continental European teams with positivity, rigour and exceptional industry expertise,” said Ben Barokas, Sourcepoint co-founder and CEO. “As we continue to develop services to help the industry achieve a more ethical and compliant digital marketing ecosystem, Marc will be the driving force behind our continued success in Europe and we’re thrilled to have him as part of the Sourcepoint team.”
“It’s a really exciting time to be joining Sourcepoint. Its recent momentum is remarkable and it’s clear the company’s new technologies and outstanding service are helping to build the sustainable business models that will set the foundations for a diverse and open society,” said Marc Lauriac, MD, Continental Europe of Sourcepoint. “Data privacy represents a huge opportunity for the European media industry to build stronger relationships with end users across mobile apps, web, and OTT/CTV. I look forward to working with the entire team and building upon the company’s ambitious growth plans in the European market.”
“Marc’s expertise and background in the OTT/CTV space will be crucial in helping shape the future of our company and the experience we provide to clients,” commented John Sedlak, CRO, Sourcepoint. “His many years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the industry across all European markets will drive Sourcepoint to achieve its objectives and further its growth. I’m looking forward to working with Marc and witnessing the great things he will achieve in Continental Europe.”
