Specialty Blades was founded in 1985 to address the needs of industries and original equipment manufacturers who required high performance, razor sharp custom-made and standard cutting blades. Specialty Blades developed a process utilizing custom-designed, programmable Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery to generate and sharpen blanks for custom-made blades. This process featured precisely controlled, multiple step grinding and honing sequences similar to that used on razor blades, but it could accommodate different steels not available in strip form and unique edge configurations not possible with continuous strip sharpening.
Specialty Blades is very proud to celebrate its 20th year of blade manufacturing. Since its inception, Specialty Blades, Inc. has been committed to delivering outstanding and long lasting cutting performance for our customers. We promise that we will continue to provide the same high quality product to you that we have taken great pride in making over the last two decades. We feel that if we optimize the customers’ cutting processes with superior blades, then the customers will get the level of output and performance that they desire.

The original idea of what is now Central Parts Warehouse was conceived while taking a morning shower back in 1979. The concept was simple - condense all the more important and faster moving replacement parts for Meyer and Western Snowplows into one easy to read catalog.
What started out as a 10 page black & white catalog of just Meyer & Western replacement parts - this years catalog now boasts 100 pages covering not only Meyer & Western snowplows but also including Boss, Fisher and Hiniker with a four color cover and 16 page of Equipment in full color . Added in 1992 were complete plow packages. In 1996 complete salt spreaders rounded out our product depth. Detailed Illustrated Parts Diagrams (IPD's) for most "Mini" or Low Profile Salt Spreader manufacturers were added in 1998. This years catalog features over 19 pages of just "V" Box or "Hopper" Salt Spreader parts for such names as Flink, Highway, Henderson, Swenson, Gledhill, Boss, Buyers, Fisher & Western to name a few.
With more plow and spreader manufacturers than ever before trying to capture your business, we recognized the need for easy and accurate parts identification diagrams. We now offer the most detailed parts diagrams across the board in the entire industry.
What started out in a 600 square foot facility now resides in a 15,000 square foot warehouse plus offices with 20,000 square foot outside storage for Spreaders, Snowpushers, and Snowplows.
All this growth demanded sophisticating our computer and order fulfillment systems and we have eagerly embraced today's technology. Our new software system is just one of three that are UPS approved and actually have a direct interface to the UPS business services. Our system now assigns the UPS tracking number immediately upon order entry. At the end of each day, our system emails or faxes you the order confirmation and UPS tracking number...of course we need to have an email address or fax number to take advantage of this feature. Every order is weight verified based on the product ordered. This feature along with the order pick system serves as a triple check of each order sent out thus helping eliminate shipping errors. Our latest endeavor is our new website built on the hottest technology in the internet today - Microsoft's .NET Framework and Web Services. This technology claims to eliminate the infamous "404 Page not found" errors and produces faster page results. Rest assured, we will continue to enhance our systems to better serve you as they become available.
